Re: Atari Falcon Eagle add-in module

Sounds like we got the answer as to what is and what it does. I will still see if we can get a photo of the other side for the records. I will also see if we can get some benchmarks with GEMBench.

Thanks for the support and information everyone.

Re: Atari Falcon Eagle add-in module

I have asked Gazak28 if he could remove the module and take a photo. I have also suggested running GEMBench to see if the results show any performance difference to a stock Falcon.

Atari Falcon Eagle add-in module

Hi, One the of the local Brisbane Atari crew (Gazak28) has a Falcon 030 which has an add-in daughter board we have been advised is called an Eagle. Apparently these are quite rare. We are looking for information on what it is and does. I have attached a photo of the top of the module which is connec...

Re: PSU bracket remake ?

I have a couple Exxos PSUs and a Centrurion Technologies PSU. They both need the original PSU bracket to fit them as well as an original power connector and switch so these usually come from an old PSU and hence should be the same sizes.

Re: new PSUs in my Falcon causes video output to fail

From what Paul identified, the C7 capacitor controls the delay in the reset process. Yes but in your first attempt you didn't solder the 22uF cap on C7 but C2 instead (I'm assuming that it's not a coincidence and you had been trying to install Czuba's reset fix as well). So I'm wondering whether th...

Re: new PSUs in my Falcon causes video output to fail

From what Paul identified, the C7 capacitor controls the delay in the reset process. When you power on, this delay needs to match the delay in 5v rail supply to the board. My PSU had a delay of around 22-25ms before 5v was supplied to board and the C7 capacitor was starting the reset process before ...
