Hi Chris
Just wondering what voltage the capacitor was you used? Would 220nf 35v work?
Its 5V rail, so anything over 10V is good.
Also, which pin has the positive lead from the capacitor?

Re: Motherboard capacitors - which to replace?

As there was a 1uf timing capacitor on the PSU that you recommend NOT be changed, I thought that there may be similar ones on the motherboard that if changed may cause issues?

Anyone already re-capped all capacitors on their motherboards?

Motherboard capacitors - which to replace?

OK, I have now had fun replacing capacitors on my ZX Spectrum boards (x3) and changing these to composite video. This was my learning ground and all are now done and working. I have also replaced the capacitors on 2 ST PSUs and they work well. Still working up to replacing my Falcon NVRAM. Whilst Ex...

Re: FALCON 030 RTC

Is this modification needed on all Falcons? I am yet to try installing the one I purchased. How many people have had issues?

Re: Another Aussie joins

Thanks Steve. I have purchased a decent soldering iron and my initial work soldering speakers to some Gotek boards went well and alot easier than my previous experiences with a cheap soldering iron. Wish I had purchaed this years ago.

Re: ST PSU NEW BATCH IN THE MAKING

I just checked and whoohoo, I have rev 2F version PSUs. Do I PM you or will you be listing the connectors as an item in your store? Its not a item I planned adding to my store, but I can do a custom order for the cable. Will have to price one up, probably be around £10-£15 plus postage... hit me up...

Re: ST PSU NEW BATCH IN THE MAKING

Hi Chris

Would these connectors work with your ST Power Supply? Would they be long enough? I have two of your ST power supplies and if I could fit one in my Falcon by just adding one of these connectors then I would be interested in buying a connector from you and fitting it. :)
