Reverse engineer gate logic of the YM2149
Hi while I work on my presentation on ST chiptunes, there are some remaining questions to be solved. Those were mainly raised by Ben (OVR) who works on the sc68 emulator. Well, what about decapping the chip and watching the silicon? Some twitter later: https://twitter.com/inversephase/status/8812265...

Re: STFM case remake
Best 3D print for such big objects with overhang and holes is a powder based printer. Or a stereolithography printer. But using those files as a base for 3D printing is a good idea, as customizing is easy. You could engrave our name on the case or other crazy things, like better accessible joystick/...

Re: unknown ST Overscan circuit with 7400
Hi
I scanned the article.
It states even 840x568 pixels. But usually set to 800x500. The monitor being the limiting factor.
On this link you can get the scan: http://gkess.homeip.net/~georges/hypers ... agazin.zip (72MB)

Re: unknown ST Overscan circuit with 7400
Apparently the circuit has been published in 68000er may/june 1989 But that hase become ST-Magazin. Were both magazines running in parallel? I don't know. Unfortunately the archive does not contain the article http://www.stcarchiv.de/stm1989.php But as I should have the real thing, I will try to fin...

Re: long button drive reading issues
I tested if the disk is rotating: Insert disk, make the drive rotate. Remove disk, rotate the floppy a little bit. Insert the floppy again. Make the drive rotate. There should be a "schllllick" sound of the notch slipping into the floppy. I heard the sound: yes the floppy rotates. Why I di...

unknown ST Overscan circuit with 7400
Hi I have a self built circuit in my ST for overscan. I would like to find again how it works. So when I got more infos, I'll add them here. It uses diodes and some AND gates. A toggle switch is used to switch the ST into hardware overscan. The AUTO folder contained software which detects the oversc...

long button drive reading issues
Hi
my long button internal drive is broken. It spins up and moves the head, but does not read the disk.
Is there a chance I could repair it myself?
Or shall I send it to you?
Or just buy a new one from you? And send the old in, in case you want to try to salvage it?

Re: Gunstick/ULM from Luxembourg
Other project is YM tune visualization. Combination of waveforms https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qP93XGuUcZo with register dumps https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUHh_Ody5Mo on a single video. Some cool videos there. How was the waveforms produced ? hacked direct from the YM chip to some software ? ...

Gunstick/ULM from Luxembourg
Hi I'm Gunstick from Unlimited Matricks demo crew. so what brings me here? My never started projects like having an ST on the Internet accepting SNDH files and sending back the sampled mp3 output. There is actually need from musicians who produce on emulators and don't have real hardware. Other proj...
