Re: My experiences with TEMU
OK, so my first Temu package arrived, 4 solar lights for the garden and 4 4GB micro SD cards. Just under £30 delivered, and whilst the products are actually ok, value wise, nothing spectacular that I'd run around saying "You must shop at Temu it's fabulous value". I can say that the 4GB ca...

Re: STM white screen but suspect RAM issues
IMHO when the screen is white you're more likely looking at a ROM issue than RAM. I'd start by looking at the MMU. GLUE and Shifter especially the ICs in the PLCC sockets. A tweak and clean of the PLCC sockets and clean the Shifter socket would probably be where I'd start. A diag cart may also help....

Re: General Stuff(tm)
I was off work with stomach problems today but used it productively this afternoon after feeling a bit better. I sprayed conductive carbon paint onto the insides of 24 of the 0.3L "Really Useful Boxes" and started moving chips into the storage. It turns out that 24 isn't sufficient to eve...

I buy quite a lot from AE, and for the most part it's cheap and OK, I used to buy a lot from AE.. But I have to always fight my way onto the site these days. Clicking away popups, constant email verfication, then its in some other language. I just don't want the hassle of having to go through all t...

Re: My experiences with TEMU
I buy quite a lot from AE, and for the most part it's cheap and OK, and in some cases, such as the GD-Emu and Saturn/Dreamcast PSUs, they were really nice. The adage of 'You get what you pay for' certainly rings true, but when you can find the self same items on eBay for twice the price, then AE is ...

Re: Neo Geo - Of the Pocket variety
OK, so I decided to do the Neo Geo screen today. It's pretty easy to disassemble, bar the fact that one case screw is a tri-wing security screw, but the kit I ordered had the necessary screwdrivers included, so that wasn't a barrier. The original screen pops out easily with a lit bit of pressure on ...
