Re: Falcon Restoration Project
Awesome advice. Thanks! I'll keep all of this in mind. I'm glad to hear the VIDEL chip is available for $45. I saw one on eBay for $2,400 and I was a little panicked! Most likely, for that price, what you saw was a pack of 90+ Videl chips (but you have to read the description to see that it is not ...

Re: Linux lightweight code editor with easy code folding?
ok that's good.
A last idea from me, close all gedit windows, and start it from the terminal, to check the terminal for error messages related to plugins. If nothing suspicious, go the the plugin list in the preference dialog, in the hope it print a meaningfull message.

Re: Linux lightweight code editor with easy code folding?
Unfortunately, even still, after putting the 2 files in the plugins folder, they dont appear in the Preferences>plugins box. Im running gedit v44.2. I moved the plugin files to the same location as you, and it was working as well. I have gedit v41.0. A little peek at the file `folding.plugin`, and ...

Re: Linux lightweight code editor with easy code folding?
Hello, I think gedit will suffice, with a little plugin https://github.com/aeischeid/gedit-folding Installation : mkdir -p ~/.local/share/gedit/plugins cd ~/.local/share/gedit/plugins git clone https://github.com/aeischeid/gedit-folding Then, start gedit, and activate the plugin : go to the "pr...

Thanks for your kind words.
@ijor I plan to get parts, assemble a few units and perform some trials during next month. I take note of your interest.

Re: Sporniket's log on hardware stuff
A little micro-step forward for my project of DC power supply for my STe : I hacked a IEC 60320 C13 and put a 55-21 barrel jack connector, so that I can either use a usual power brick (I found one on amazon, 5V at 4Amps, that I have to test), either a USB power delivery trigger with a suitable jack ...
