Re: Mega STe stability issues.
Kronos does not start because apparently it does not like the graphic card (it runs fine (but visually unusable) if I run it in medium res without the card). This is a red flag by itself. Kronos runs on basically everything, TOS VDI, NVDI, fVDI, mono, 16 colours, 16M colours, ... To me it looks lik...

As for the source code, go to https://docs.dev-docs.org and search for "Falcon030 Production Diagnostic source code v1.21 [Oct 14 1992]"

Re: Falcon refuses to boot without diag cart
I verified it from numerous angles: first, it boots every time now. After a minute, 10 minutes, one hour, always. Second, it boots in CT60 mode (that didn't happen at all before). And third, it boots from IDE, I could run DSP demos, FPU demos, memory / disk io hungry demos... all fine. And as a bon...

Re: Ultrasatan worth it or not?
Also, many demos allow you to install them on hard disk => much faster loading times. (applications in 99% cases support hard disk natively so yes, multi-disk apps will certainly gain a lot with hard disk).

I certainly don't mind if you use them. I adapted some existing ones, after all.

Re: Basilisk II Atari
With respect to chunky-to-planar issue for non-falcon colour, have you seen this? https://web.archive.org/web/20070208175220/http://freenet-homepage.de/ray.tscc/c2p_I.htm Careful, this is efficient only on the ST. 68030 will not by happy but will swallow it (a lot of cache misses, though) but 68060...

Don't push it Chris. Even if your store would be stopped at one point, it's not end of the world. Your health has top priority.

Re: Basilisk II Atari
In my experience, code cleanup always pays off, regardless of intention to publicly release something or not. Usually one finds some hidden bugs, inefficient calls, better algorithms etc.

Re: Basilisk II Atari
I have never used, or even seen, a real one so I'm mostly concerned if "Interlace On" is something that cause a flickering mess, doesn't work on certain output modes, or generally have other drawbacks that makes one not wanting to use it? The drawback is that it is RGB only and terribly s...

Re: Basilisk II Atari
The tool is (among others) Screenspain: http://files.dhs.nu/files_coding/scrnpain.zip
However I'm a little confused why do you need it for 640x480@256c, that's a standard Falcon resolution - double lines off, 80 columns (on VGA, that is).
