Re: Amiga not booting ( was 27C400 EPROM emulators (beta) issue D technical discussion)
Both work fine with a ROM chip but crash as before with the emulator in place. Sorry without seeing your Amiga motherboard on a bench with test equipment I can't really help. My guess would be that you have a problem with noise or ground bounce on your board and the EPROM emu responds (and crashes ...

The "enable LED" option on the EPROM emulator,.. sorry i thought it might have been an indication LED. Will play a bit more, p.s now i can program images its pretty cool to use, just like the JTAG devices we use at work. oh. you can connect an LED to one of the pads. e.g. to power LED on ...

Sorry, I don't know what LED you are talking about.
If you send it back I can test it.

OK great, USB working. All modules were programmed with Chucky's Diagrom (A500) after test. Try programming the appropriate diagrom for your machine. Try both byte swaps if unsure. You can find out which ROM slot is selected over USB from the info command.

Re: 27C400 EPROM emulators (beta) issue D technical discussion
I got lazy an used a pre-made cable https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/233663418812 Must admit i just presumed red was 5v and everything else was in order. Would a purple screen mean dead STM ?, no magic smoke or bad smell from the diodes. They often have pin 4 as ground and pin 5 as shield. If this is the...

Re: 27C400 EPROM emulators (beta) issue D technical discussion
First double check your USB wiring. Some cables have white/green swapped over. Check your ground connection too. The only problem I've seen with the USB is with someone who fried the STM32 by putting 5v on one of the DP/DP USB connections. Blew the transient protection diodes too. Everything else wa...

Re: New open source 68000 accelerator for Amiga
To get an idea of what is possible on a Pi bare metal, the Acorn PiTubeDirect now has dp11's JITed 6502 core. It is something like 2 or 3 times faster than the previous fastest emulated core. The project now includes a VDU driver on the HDMI output of the Pi as well. So given enough effort by the Pi...

Re: Well this is interesting....
Just sounds like one of the Dell options where IT departments can get replacement parts sent to them rather than a Dell technician visiting the site. They send you a new motherboard & you send back the old one - in Apple's case that'll be with all your data because it is soldered to the board! :...

Please update the thread if you hear further news. I'd be interested to find out why it doesn't work in your setup.
