Re: Ultrasatan & external 1.44m Floppy on stock Falcon

Some Falcon-ACSI interface exists not, and nobody will make it - like IDE-ACSI or SCSI-ACSI type. That would cost too much. What you can get is IDE-SD card adapter - then can use same SD cards with Falcon and ST(E) (via UltraSatan on them) . So, you need 2 adapters for sure. I have that combination ...

Re: 68010 in Mega STE

Why should I lower compatibility even more with EmuTOS ?
And really no time for some experimental OS - sorry, but EmuTOS is still it. My Mega STE started making problems, and getting unreliable. So, I need some serious servicing of it this days.

68010 in Mega STE

Finally I was able to put working 68010 CPU in my Mega STE, thanx to Exxos, who generously sent me 1 piece. Saying it because I ordered one some years ago from China, and it is dead as piece of rock. It works with TOS 2.06 - where is support for that CPU, and will work with some other versions what ...

Re: Building the Commodore that should have existed, an interview with Stefany Allaire

I had some struggle there with posting comment. There is some simple math captcha + object name input. Later is really dumb - you see glass of beer - what to type in - just beer or more. I even don't know how those larger 'glasses' for beer are called in US, for instance. Anyway, after 4th attempt -...

Re: TT Software overscan?

On ST(E) overscan is achieved by making some writes to video registers (for freq. change) in very accurate moments of horizontal scanline. That's possible only with 100% CPU load, and knowing exact instruction execution times (cycle count) . Luckily, you can use there not only delays, but something ...

Re: Windows bashing

Well, my main tool works only in Windows. And it still works in latest ones, although there are diverse issues, mostly in fullscreen mode, what I barely use. And despite I agree with all bad said, we must be aware that there are things where Windows is better than any Linux - and here I don't mean g...

Re: Windows bashing

My mistake - I meant shift key (and it is same key in Total Commander - silly me :D ) . So, if you hold down shift key, and then click delete, Win will say: Are you sure to want to delete .... and will delete, without Recycle Bin. But in Total Commander you can set it to opposite - so delete will be...

Re: TT Software overscan?

There is a auto program for the STe that allows interlace in 320x200 or 640x200. I used to use is for 640x400i in 16 colours on my MegaSTe. That would have to be possible on a TT at least? Certainly. Although, I would not call it 16 colors - rather headache :D And it is certainly not 640x400i - at ...

Re: Windows bashing

I just have to press delete and it goes into the bin, then I can copy the files. I can understand your reasoning, but for me its just a annoyance. No, when you press delete then it is simply deleted, and goes not in bin. Otherwise, there would be no space for copy. It is reasonable to assume that u...
