Re: CPU speeds... and why Amiga will never "come back"
If you were to "bring it back" you really wouldn't be looking at an m68k machine (the later AmigaDOS machines weren't based upon this either) and really you would have to look at basing it upon commodity hardware, either PC based or, probably better for future-proofing, 64 bit ARM and the...

Re: SCART Cable recommendations?
Btw, has anyone experience with Lotharek's Medusa? Namely, I have this one: https://lotharek.pl/productdetail.php?id=321 and it seems that my SCART cable(s) are really not happy with it. I still have to take a closer look (I use a Philips CM8833-II + D-SUB9 <-> SCART female from RetroComputerShack t...

Re: Falcon Stability Issues
From my experience, as you could see above, I would recommend first to observe the system: - does it crash when left as is, even with not moving the mouse? - does it crash on boot? (at least sometimes) - does it crash when something is happening? (moving the cursor, opening a window, loading a file,...

Re: From simple AZERTY Falcon project to custom ARM bus master - advice needed please
I must say, I'm really impressed by your hardware debugging skills! But for anyone else, I think this is a nice example why not to overcomplicate things. From what I could read, most of the damage could have been fixed by a far simpler diagnostics: - new RAM - fixing bent/missing pins on the Videl/S...

Re: Atari Falcon motheboard issue / damage
If the idea was to connect wires to the CT60 pads, I can't imagine having this motherboard without some sort of cuts, i.e. most likely it can't work in stock.

Re: Assembly compiling unused routines ?
Usually the whole library gets pulled in. That's a very simplified answer. It depends on the linker and on the format of the object files. For instance, gcc + a.out format works that way that if some function is not referenced, it is discarded. HOWEVER, many functions internally reference others so...

You mentioned other issues - like failing boot, the freeze in steno, ... You said that the boot issue happens only with the graphics card. Does it happen also without Monster? There's still a lot of testing left...

Re: Mega STe stability issues.
The more you'll be postponing the test(s) on stock machine, the longer you'll be running in circles.
The easiest (and most reliable) way to diagnose is:
- bare machine
- test
- add one addon
- test
- add another addon
- test
