Re: STFM case remake

Main problem is rear of the cases are all different. I did talk about having it removable for various machines before.. but main problem is still cost, £300+ for a print. Where I am not sure on quality. End product would likely cost £500 per case with shipping included. I hate to say it, but I thin...

Re: STFM case remake

I can get a silicon cast made for injection molding, but its limited to about 10 cases, but still would end up around £300-£500 per case anyway. If a steel mold was made, the price per case is a lot more reasonable. But then its limited to just one case, ST, STF, STE, which one gets done ? I am sti...

I checked Shapeways and they'll print a box about that size out of white nylon for you for about USD$4,300. They can also do stainless steel for ten times as much.

I'm thinking about it.
Absolutely not affordable for me.

Re: Fixing up my MEGA STE

Ok, continuing on with my Mega STEs Both have new batteries for the RTC.. Does the mega STE still have a Y2K issue? Do you use a little program? aka the one that will only be good to 2019? then what do we do? I have a Cosmos - it gets time from an npt server and changes the date.. IS that bypassing...

Re: Gotek external or floppy (mech) external

Yes my Sf314 works on any computer.. no issues. I have 3 more SMD-300s (1.44mb) coming in this week. They are the originals (300 series) that Mega STE used.. My issue now is, why does this cable work with the Gotek, but not the Floppy. The floppy works as an internal and as a drive in the SF314. I ...

Re: Gotek external or floppy (mech) external

The gotek will work only if it's the bood drive (you need to boot with the file manager). Internal must be id0, external must be id1. Third thing, hd drives like the gotek have the ribbon cord inversed compared to dd drives like the smd380, even if you don't have a hd kit. BTW this setup never worke...

Re: "YOU WON'T BELIEVE YOUR EYES!" - Smarter Every Day 142

The P.O.V. effect is well known and has been done with micro-controller for years, decades even. The first time I saw someone doing a hello world with a few LEDs, a motor and PIC or Propeller was around 2004. I found this one with a quick search from 2005 : http://www.electronixandmore.com/projects...
