Re: Not quite 8-bit: Acorn A4000 refurbishment

Always wondered about these machines and why they never really took off, yet when I looked deeper they had some big name games released on them so there must have been enough out there to develop for them. I saved I think it was a A7000 from a skip years ago, sadly had to sell it at the time :(

Re: VNC2 Wireless Keyboard/Mouse Project

On a side note; wouldn't it be great if one could play "null modem games" like Lotus over the internet? A device that connects peer-to-peer via IP translating null modem signals? :P Anyone know of anything like this exists? I would sponsor the crap out of that. :D And all this rabling was...

Rendering SVG files on 8 bit Ataris

Interesting to me, since I spend all day doing this rubbish on a Xeon that still sometimes struggles, and yet here with a Atari doing it.
I might give it a go I have a 800XL and a plotter I want to see this

Re: What is BURS?

Burn in, sprang to my mind, did they really have someone sit there and run them for a period of time? Or just "picture came on done" I guess it would depend at what point in the production line the modulator was added or was it added later? with someone just testing modulators on the...

New 8 bit games Atari 7800 & Commodore 64

Reviews of some new 8 bit games, the Atari 7800 game looks quite impressive. I like the packaging that goes into these old games, so well done must have cost a bomb prob more than they can get back selling the games
