Re: Wiki dead links
sigh I ran a full link check - but it didn't save the output to file. Anyway, I'll now do smaller more targeted runs since I saw from the console output what it spent the most time on. Finished! 1211739 links found. 1184255 excluded. 5741 broken. Elapsed time: 1 hour, 51 minutes 5741 sounds way more...

Re: The resurrection of atari-wiki.com
I think that will sort itself out automatically from this being the canonical atari-wiki domain.
I'm fine with requiring manual user approval btw, but having to approve page edits is a huge pain A wiki should be constantly edited in small steps.

Re: The resurrection of atari-wiki.com
I tried search for an existing tool but failed, although I'm very certain such tools exist.
Creating a script to curl the mainpage and then all linked internal pages in a tree, comparing some value, isn't that difficult. I could do it, although reinventing the wheel should always be avoided :/

Re: The resurrection of atari-wiki.com
Agree, the text not displaying correctly and that error message sounds like it. However, you might want to do the same patch as this to make sure it's not a different error altogether where the error message itself causes the malformed characters:

Re: The resurrection of atari-wiki.com
No worries - I'm sure it's solvable. There's plenty of us here ready to step in so you don't need to feel all the burden on getting it to work is on you.

Re: Wiki dead links
Sounds good! I propose making a quick edit saying "editing" on top of a page we're currently working on so others know not to touch it. It will cause an extra revision in the history of the page but I don't think that's an issue.

Re: Wiki dead links
dev-docs doesn't allow directly linking to files anymore - everything has to be changed to link to the search-box instead.

Re: ST Hardware Overscan
I believe cheap version is to cut DE, connect composite to it, and then run Overscan or Lacescan. And yeah, you'd need a hardware-switch to control when to be in fullscreen and when not to.
