Re: My summer project: A colour Stacy

Oh wow. You really got it done! I've been busy with other things so my STacy hasn't received any love recently.

I now am a happy owner of a Colour Classic with SCSI2SD, LC575 board (33Mhz 040) and 128MB RAM. Also did the 640x480 hack. It's beautiful and runs MacigMac 6.2 really nicely.

Re: My summer project: A colour Stacy

Thank you so much for the detailed report. This gives me hope and excitement to try it out. I probably won't be able to have a go in a while though. I'd like to finish my current project, a Mystic Colour Classic to be my 040 MagiCMac system. Still waiting for parts. But I think in a couple of months...

Re: Why are rechargeable AA/AAA batteries 1.2v not 1.5?

Also, 1.2v is the nominal voltage of the cell. When you charge it up it can get to 1.4-1.45V. Same with 3.3V LifePO4 cells. 3.3V is nominal while fully charged it is 3.65V. "Regular" lithium cells have a nominal voltage of 3.7V and fully charged 4.2V. 12V car batteries are no different. If...

Very nice. Although I'd use two ground planes if you have one unused.
