I would check your floppy drive connections. TOS206 is more fussy about the floppy than TOS104 is.

I know people always suggest it but would it be easier to start with using a clock which is a multiple of 8, so the slots as you put it are predictable between each original clock cycle? The user needs to only know between chips they can & cannot program. Stating anything more is just confusing.They don't need to know anything else. The STE booster is pretty much the same design as this SEC booster. Only the sec needs a bit more work. The STE booster switches to 8mhz during DMA stuff. Yes I'm aware of all that thanks. The mask ROMs could not be reprogrammed and are one time programmable. As to method of "programming" is not relivent to this thread and the user doesn't need to know in depth info about it all, they just need to know they can't reprogram mask ROMs and need to adapt ...

It is noted that the EPROM's are 1MBit and are slightly longer than the TOS ROMS's. The original TOS ROM's were OTP (one time programmable) and have less pins than EPROM's. Just wondering what you have left if anything? I think the one with the "melted" key and another one is still about, they aint great condition by far.. Images in a previous post.. I will have some more machines I will be stripping, but likely won't be until near the end of the year (long story) .
