Re: ALPHA MODIFICATIONS

VIDEO BRIGHTNESS FIX 3 Resistors are actually wrong 15K when should have been 2.2K... However 2.2K (what I had to hand) still seems to dim, so I suggest 1.8K as the replacement value. Change R91,R92,R93 with 1.8K. (2.2K in parallel with 10K will be 1.8K also, I will have to do this as I only have 2...

I've been homing out lines other than address and data... all look good so far. What was the issue you had? Something I need to change?
I un-soldered the wrong jumpers :)

Tonight I will try to play some empty wave files, one for each supported DMA frequency and we'll see if FLCK changes.
Good plan!

Need to check these figures are actually correct next... We don't actually have a STFM benchmark with blitter in the benchmark section

Re: Testing the blitter

Guess I'll solder the socket in and give it a try. Think I'll start it with the test cart and a serial connection in case the screen is froozen. Could you tell if the processor was running? I've not scoped out anything yet, so don't know what is running or not... I'm checking the diagram over and o...

And it's a reasonable price too. Works fine on my Megas
I do have a odd reset fault on my machine like I think you guys had also.. I have to press the reset button to get it to turn on sometimes.. I think using the proper reset chip is a good thing to do anyway...

Re: Hissing and whistling in the STe audio output

Well, the page I linked to, mentions: Finally the filters carry out an anti-aliasing (removal of the staircases on the sound curve) with the assistance of a low pass filter whose frequency is 40% of that of sampling that is 2503, 5007, 10013, and 20026 Hz. The "stair step" isn't relating to the fil...

Re: Hissing and whistling in the STe audio output

From the datasheet (from what I remember last night) the clock was to set the roll off frequency.. So the clock is probably fixed.. So if you have 250KHz and we had /100 used, then thats 25KHz roll off which makes sense.
