The STE I will likely put one of these in has the latest DualTOS board from you, PLUS one of the UBE circuits too:

New boards are going to be red, so if you have colour OCD, you will have to get a red dualtos board ;)

Re: Exxos PSU + CT2B Falcon

I don't think we have a GB6 benchmark of CT2... :)

Re: STE V1.5 32MHz BOOSTER - STATUS

Quick question. Will the new accelerator work with the original dual TOS board, and if so, what mods are needed if any? Any of my dualtos boards will work with it. Just this later one is smaller and has the UBE circuit (well will do). So its like a upgraded dualtos board. The only minor issue is th...

I'm little bit worried about the wires so close to the caps (and the SIMM for that matter), what do you guys think?
As long as nothing is straining then shouldn't be a problem really. Not sure if the red wires are long enough to route behind the caps on the PSU or not ?

Chris, if you think you could use it for your experiments, I'll gladly donate it to you.
If it unfixable then sure , can look a bit closer at parts I guess.

Re: STE V1.5 32MHz BOOSTER - STATUS

PCBs on order, so a waiting game next :) :ball:

I've got 2 more PCBs here, so will order parts next week , see if I can build them up as pre-release boards :)

Re: PSU 230V vs 110V

Yes, that note about the transformer is a good point (and a huge overlook on my side). So I guess I have my answer? It would seem I can't simply change caps and resistors to get a 230V one. Looks like you would need to change the transformer , plus cap & resistor changes.. getting on for a re-build...

Re: PSU 230V vs 110V

Actually the transformer may be different..

Mine (230V) has :

ATR-L043-1
AC INPUT 50/60Hz
230V / 0.45A

From what I can see, the caps are also a bit different (for less voltage, that is). If you want, I can write the values down for you.
ahh, yeah, the main cap will be different voltage, but think others will be the same.

Re: STE V1.5 32MHz BOOSTER - STATUS

Looking good to me. C1 is a little wonky though :P  About the same as C3 ;) I think the SMT pads are to big for the parts.. that's what happens when you cut corners as use "built in libs"  Am I seeing things, or does the new dual TOS board only use 8 pins of the HI socket now? In o...
