Re: The TF536 on a CDTV

I was prety sure that relocator is needed. I used to have Kipper's Ram and ide board., wich has a same problems.

Relocator and pin rows are potential contact problem, so soldering it to TF wouldn't be bad idee.

Re: The TF536 on a CDTV

Wait that 8 Bit Dreams could test it with newer extended roms? I would be perfectly OK TF536 if CD-drive works, even if I can't boot from it.

If 8 Bit Dreams could test will it fit and what would be required to make it sit tight and stable?

Re: The TF536 on a CDTV

Relocator would help with capacitors as it would make it sit higher. Wondering would A1000 relocator be OK?

https://www.pcbway.com/project/sharepro ... or_V1.html

This one? Would it be enough to help with that big capacitors?

Re: The TF536 on a CDTV

Relocator wich moves it to left (or towards a front of CDTV), right angled IDE and CPU soldered to PCP could solve problem. There is a even some screws wich could be used to make a 3D printed support to make it sit stedy, if relocator is used. edit https://electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/507...

Re: 68060 sources

Also good and trusted source for 040 is worth to mention... I think that 68040 is underrated. It can run up to 40mhz, some even 50mhz. It is enough for 99,5% of games. Doom, Hexen, etc works just fine with it. There is no fakes and they might be cheaper than 68030 CPUs. But still 4x more powerfull ...

Re: The TF536 on a CDTV

@8 Bit Dreams could you test this? How would it fit? If it fits I would be interested one. I don't have 3D printer currently, so printing support is not possible for me.
