Re: ST KB in Mega ST case
Right now I'm using a spare MegaSTE keyboard and that works fine. Bear in mind it is an original ST (not an F/FM) keyboard I'm going to use. The internal connector looks identical bar colour and length. The other (small) drama is I don't have a cable for it, so I will have to make one as well. All t...

ST KB in Mega ST case
Hi all, has anyone ever dropped a ST(M) keyboard into a MegaST keyboard housing? I have a UK ST KB that I want to drop into a US Mega case. It seems to fit and it looks like I just need to extend the internal cable?

Re: Stuff and Things.
I DIY'd some USB cables and did it that way, just have to make sure you use decent PSU's, 2a+. That looks very cunning. My 130XE has a 320XE (512k) ECI card, Sdrive max and SIO2PC. I use that and a Svideo cable to a 19" NEC TV. Its pretty good. SIDE is something I have wanted to get for a while. Tha...

Pics please.
I've been tempted to try some of the video offerings. So many options, so little time and money......

Re: Top of the pile
Well, two PSU's recapped. A DXE and a Mitsumi, the Mitsumi caps were rooted and took a pretty massive clean up. That was a real eye opener. On the plus side, the desolder gun made VERY short work of it. Gotta be happy with that.

Re: FOR SALE MEGA ST CASE UK
They exist, I picked one up for $40 from Sydney last year. I half hope I don't fix my second Mega so I don't have to look for another keyboard.rubber_jonnie wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 9:23 amAs I like to say, 'good luck with that'.
Also, unicorns.

Re: IDE KITS
I'm trying to resist the urge due to the amount of projects already on the boil..... I usually overwhelm myself.
I have plenty of FM's that could benefit from an IDE setup. I must confess, the machine I use the most is probably my MegaSTE, so I'd give my last sheckle for a solution for that.

Re: Top of the pile
Well, silly me. Dragged all the STFM's out of the cupboard. Now I have a massive recapping job on my hands. The DIAG cart throws nothing up for the Mega's, so now the hard work begins. On a nicer note, the FM's all get a clean bill of health, even the hacked one :-) Its been a busy week desoldering ...
