Exxos's PiStorm blog

In light of this probably won't be simple under load of drama, instead of polluting the original thread https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=113637#p113637 , I thought I would start my own blog. So Steve sent me this page to first start to get it connected to wifi. https://www.seeedstu...

Re: PiStorm Chat

So @go0se replied and he said he only makes them with 74LVC16373ADGG and not heard of the 374s working better.

So I'm in a bit of a non starter here then it seems if nobody is making them with 374s

Re: PiStorm Chat

Thanks. I wonder if the pi can be flipped upside down and placed over the other 68k socket. Probably makes no odds really.

Re: exxos blog - random goings on

Been doing bits in the background to a new cased ST2VGA adapter. This one replaces the jumper links on the top for a quality slide switch. The downside is the switches I ended up using make the case a bit thicker than it really should have been :( It also means the VGA connector ends up "recess...

Re: PiStorm Chat

PiStorm already works on WiFi. There is a way to mount a disk image for the emulator and files can be copied back and forth (between the Pi file system and Atari live) - it is experimental of course. That sounds cool. Not sure how that works overall. I think cosmosex could mount a gem drive which i...

Re: My fight against Outlook.com email blocking

In light of my bitcoin spam problem https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=90&t=6943 I was telling my girlfriend about it as she was having error messages in sending store receipts. She said maybe it was that causing Microsoft emails to bounce. While my spam filter is for incoming ma...

Re: Atari ST RGB scart cables available soon.

0281sm.jpg Standard Atari scart cables now starting to appear in stock. https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/atari/store2/#0281 It could be a a while before the other type of cables are in stock. The filtering circuit is a bit to large to fit inside the scart cable and while a external adapter seems the si...

Re: JezC - the second (and laST) H5C1 build

Indeed - and I'm starting to share your loathing of PLCC sockets... Yep, If you push bent pins into a cheap socket, it buggers it up normally. So you end up changing the sockets. Its why the H5 uses 3M sockets. They take a lot more abuse. We'll see if things progress much further later th...
