Re: NOS 520STFM Motherboard/PSU care
Don't replace parts without checking them, especially if it really is a NOS unit. Would you like to have kidney transplanted without any diagnostics, just because you are getting old, but otherwise in a perfect health? I bet - no. If it is an original part and fully working - keep it. This is Mitsum...

Re: Floppy write protected (when its not) fix.
This fix solved my issue with ACSI CF adapter in 1040 STfm. Before, it was writing complete garbage on the CF card, after applying this fix - works like a charm!

Re: Floppy Stops working with megafile connected.
Check if a Megafile prevents the floppy from working or just pluggin in the DMA cable into ST does it. Both floppy and ACSI use the same chip (DMA) to operate.

Re: New Falcon a lemon?
It is 100% genuine Falcon keyboard... in a very nice shape.
For VGA modes, you don't need a MultiSync monitor.
Dead RTC battery can cause TV out to operate erratically.

Re: Upgrading an ATARI 800 XE to 128KB of RAM
U1MB is expensive, and I'd say "not enough retro"... i have done this: 800 XE (Compy Shop 512kB/Newell Industries 1MB): 2020-03-11 17.21.30.jpg HiRes: https://obrazki.elektroda.pl/6935888000_1595672513_thumb.jpg 130XE (Compy Shop 512kB/Newell Industries 1MB): 2020-07-02 14.33.24.jpg HiRes:...

Re: Upgrading an ATARI 800 XE to 128KB of RAM
I see no point of upgrading 800 XE to 128kB. Go straight for Compy Shop 512kB or RAMBO 1MB. I have the same board, and even after replacing GTIA to one that worked ok on 2 different boards, on this board, acts as faulty, (at least until I rerouted one of the clocks). I don't like this board also for...
