Love Weird Al. "It's all about the Pentiums" is another favorite of mine.

Re: PiStorm Chat
Just a thought, since the PiSTorm emulates the 68000 as well, can
someone run it like that and check compatibility with P.Pera's, Klaz
or Dbug's various adapted games so we can get an idea about
compatibility?
Thanks.

Re: PiStorm Chat
Thanks for the info. Has anyone actually put one in an ST (not STe) yet? I'm assuming so because of that picture. Any chance we could get some pictures of the ST version before installation from various angles with approximate measurements? With the PiSTorm + Pi 3/4 together? I realize that's a lot ...

Re: PiStorm Chat
It'd be taller than the TF536, even with Derkom's relocator board. You'd still need to relocate it so it would be three boards stacked rather than two. You could save horizontal space by using a Pi Zero 2 instead of a full 3+, overclock it to 1.4GHz and fit a fan. It may be slightly shorter. Ah, an...

Re: PiStorm Chat
PiStorm works in both ST and STe STe requires an adaptor board - DIL to PLCC Mint is not required Any Pi4 model B will work Pi3A+ is shown to work badwolf has shown that the latch type no longer matters I have never seen a STacy in person, but from images, it seems compact. I very much doubt you co...

Re: PiStorm Chat
Okay, I find myself really intrigued by this. Currently I have my STacy opened up, working on it. It has a socketed CPU. So...does PiSTorm require an STe or will it work in an ST also? Is Mint required? Will any Pi4 do or are there special requirements? The Github page seems to indicate that the Pi3...

Re: PiStorm Chat
Just adding that, after reading stephen_usher's post, it's because the Pak board uses a specially modified TOS v3.06. That seems to cause P.Pera's adapted games to "patch" and run as if it's a TTO30, which works... I suppose it would be a lot of work and extra (unnecessary to some) hardwar...

Re: 16MHz or TF536
Understood, thanks.stephen_usher wrote: ↑Wed Oct 04, 2023 7:29 am As I said, the PAK uses TOS 3.06 and hence PP’s loaders think that they are running on a TT and implement the TT patches.
