I may recommend this solder:
https://www.cynel.com.pl/en/products/117-pb60sn40-sw26
It is about 20PLN (€5) for 100g.

Re: Mean Well RD-50A
My RD-50A has the 12V line off tolerance (way too high), but in STf it really doesn't matter. I think a good alternative would be also PD-45A or PD-65A.

Re: STe replacing motheboard capacitors
@Steve - what do you mean by capacitors having a voltage drop of over 1V? In what period of time? Not all capacitors in the ST board need to be low ESR, and 1 Ohm ESR, even for a Low ESR 4.7uF capacitor is perfectly fine. Correct ESR depends on the nominal capacity and voltage of the capacitor. ESR ...

Re: STe replacing motheboard capacitors
Except PSU I don't see any point in doing a "preventive recapping" in ST. Caps used in STs do not leak, like ones used in A600/1200, and usually don't short. If there are any stability problems, of course, go for recapping, but if everything is fine, I wouldn't touch the caps. Even if they...

Re: Mega ST 1 Dead Blitter?
Last year (or maybe a little more) I wanted to have a Blitter enabled 1040STF, and I was able to buy one on a local (Polish) forum, so maybe you're looking too far away from home (I guess)

Re: Atari STE: Can't get TOS or EMUTOS to boot from two 32 pin eproms
Without any googling, I may tell you, that you can do the same with the MiniPro/XGPro software ;) You only have to remember that "low byte" will be high ROM, and "high byte" will be low ROM, and it is due to the different endianness of the Intel and Motorola CPUs. 6177823200_1634...

Correct settings for 27C010 are:
W102: 1+2
W103: 2+3
W104: 1+2
I also attach split ROM image files.

Re: SIMM Socket to convert SIMM to SIPP
You can also solder a so-called precision goldpin header to the generic SIMM module, and you will have a SIPP module. I think that is much less effort, and less risk to damage a motherboard while desoldering the DIP-like header for SIPPs.

Re: What are these components (Atari STE schematics 'DL1' 'L403') ?
So it seems, they have used a standard PAL/NTSC 1H (1 horizontal line) delay line (64/63,5us).
