Re: OSI 600D Superboard Build

So, the LS75s & LS125s arrived and I can now get to the BASIC prompt!! IMG20240322133627.jpg It's not all calm seas yet though, because I still have a bad LS138 (Maybe more than one) at U20, U22 & U23. These are fairly critical for many functions, and I've managed to get so far by swapping t...

Re: Stuff and Things.

Well that was unexpected. I have been smelling an odd electrical smell in my office/workshop, and have been trying to figure out what it was as I don't want a fire. All my Retro machines are on an isolating bus bar, so I knew it wasn't anything to do with that, and it's easy to isolate anything in m...

Re: Archie A3000 inbound

Hmm... I could do with a network MiniPodule for my A4000. 10Base2 is no problem for me as I have a 3Com OfficeConnect TP4C ( https://docs.rs-online.com/34b7/0900766b80028529.pdf ) mini-hub with co-ax (and AUI) plus 10BaseT... oh, and a big 3Com splitter/repeater box and loads of cable and terminato...

Re: Archie A3000 inbound

@stephen_usher @rubber_jonnie Yeah, it's better to have a RJ45 than a BNC connector. My desktop will look neater now. I now have to sell the previous podule, the BNC/RJ45 adapter and the BNC cable as I have no use of them anymore. I kept my BNC stuff, I potentially have other things that I mi...

You'll end up being a (retro stuff) serial buyer, or is it already the case ?

More a parallel buyer as it seems that more are bought before the last set are even at RJ's workbench....

Re: A Grand Day Out

Both the composite and the s-video leads you have there seem to be ringing, giving you ghosting. You may need a ferrite core on them or get better cables. I have some ferrite cores on the way :) Also, the RGBI to SCART cable with switching for standard composite arrived today and the RGBI 80 column...
