Re: Getting software to work on 68LC060
FYI The only reason any Doom port would need an FPU is because it lacks the 030’s 32x32->64bit integer multiplication and the author is instead using the FPU to perform this in floating point and convert back to fixed point right after. I can probably produce an 060 optimized version that is not usi...

Re: Source of 68030 with MMU?
https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/product-change-notice/PCNR00283.html https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/product-change-notice/PCNR00321.html I think at some point they just consolidated manufacturing of all 030 chips to 0.8um, yet still sold them at different price points. Could also be due to testing - its a ...

Re: Source of 68030 with MMU?
If we believe this info http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/68030/Mot ... RC50C.html
Then those chips labeled RP25C are using a mask (0G40W) used for 50Mhz MC68030RC50C chips

Re: Software options to test load capabilities of a 030 CPU on TF536
Battle Chess gets the CPU quite toasty. To stress the CPU you’ll want to use software that interacts with the chipset very little, so the TF has little time to step down to 7MHz.
I guess, using Lha on many big files would be a good test, too, to stress CPU and IDE.

Re: Formula One in slow-mo
I think I resolved it to a PEBCAK. When I ran it on the TF536, F1GPEd had patched the executable to an unrealistic framerate. Apparently there are some hardcoded assumptions in F1GP about how fast it can render and how much wallclock time that will take. If you feed F1GPEd with a too high fra...
