Re: Amiga A600 boot black screen

Try cleaning the trapdoor expansion connector on the motherboard with IPA and also inspect it (both sides) for any damage or shorts that might have been caused while fitting the chip RAM expansion. Also were you not asking about flashing the CPLD on a 4MB A600 FAST ram expansion on another thread? T...

Re: TF1230 drivers

I'm 99.73% sure I didn't build either of your cards but in the spirit of altruism, here is ehide.device IDE Driver 1.1 (18.6.21) on a (non bootable) .adf image along with an example startup sequence line that assumes it has been copied to devs: The .adf has been created for the purpose of answering ...

Re: Programming the CPLD

Shifters.jpg The circled area on the the left looks like it is probably cloth fluff but the circled area on the right is slightly more suspicious. There is also a possible short on the level shifter on the far right underneath pin 1 (not circled in the image) Test the JTAG TDI,TDO,TCK and TMS pins ...

Re: Programming the CPLD

When you power the card from the Amiga, and without the Pi connected check that you have a stable 3.3V by measuring between the labelled 3.3V and GND pads on the JTAG header of the 536. If you don't get a stable 3.3V approx, then there is a short somewhere. First suspect is always the CPLD, then the...

Re: Looking for RAM Chips for A600 RAM Expansion projects

A selection of most of the above chips can be found on AliExpress. They will be used pulls and some will be DOA, but when dealing with chips of that vintage that's the reality. Read the customer reviews and try to select some that have an image that isn't obviously reprinted (Text whiter than a cele...

Re: TFMSX rev1

Looking good. Always nice to see a development detail video. You mentioned about a potential case for it, as well as the possible addition of a headphone jack. If another hardware revision is in the pipeline then adding some strategic M3/M4 mount holes near the RHS corners and maybe behind those DB9...

You know it can't be running on real Atari hardware when the self test completes without errors!

Re: Is there an open source IDE buffer?

Inline buffer based on Terriblefire's TF536 layout.

Kicad 6 project attached.

Use in conjunction with 5cm cable on the unbuffered side to your card/motherboard + longer cable on the buffered side to your IDE adapter.
