Re: Exxos will like this colour of Switch Lite :)
M92T36 removed: IMG20240412135713.jpg And the short, which was via the 4th cap up on the LHS of the IC, has now gone. Having watched The Coder do a lot of Switch repairs, I'm honestly not surprised, it seems that these can go if the USB C port gets damaged, as it was. Toothbrush for scale, I'm out o...

Re: Exxos will like this colour of Switch Lite :)
How far onto the board is the power getting now? I see 5v at a test point on the other side of the USB socket, and that works either way the USB connector is plugged in. However, looking at the board with my thermal camera, the charging control IC, M92T36 is getting hot, enough to evaporate IPA, an...

While you've got it open? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/126347797875 Homebrew only of course Well the port swap went fine, but I'm still not getting charge, so until I can get power to it I'll not be doing much else. Annoyingly the flap on one of the connectors pinged off too, so I need to get one of ...

Re: Exxos will like this colour of Switch Lite :)
The replacement USB port arrived for the Switch Lite yesterday, so I have moved it to the workbench and started prepping. Once you get the cover and heat/emi shield off, there are many screws, so I decided I'd need to be able to ID them all, so I used Sharpies to mark them in different colours so I'...

Re: OSI 600D Superboard Build
That 48 char mod makes it look so much better. Yeah, it is soooo much better. The only issue is that the left hand margin is controlled by a value set in ROM, and if I swap to a different display, the margin is off the left hand side. I can do different ROMS that work with different displays, but i...

Re: General Stuff(tm)
The zeners and power jack socket should be arriving today. I have some vero board I can use to make up the little PCB for the (7.5V) power distribution, three zeners, diode to stop the Mac Portable trying to back-power the unit if the power's switched off, oh and connecting the ammeter. Once I've w...
