Re: RGB pattern generator circuit

I'm currently debugging my SCART<->RGB-cable because I think I might have a mistake in the wiring! I suspect that the csync signal is missing and that would explain the weird picture!

RGB pattern generator circuit

I've built an ATtiny2313 based RGB pattern generator by following this guide: https://dselec.wordpress.com/generator . The generator is designed to produce test patterns like these: Untitled.png I'm intending to use it to be able to more accurately adjust my CRT monitors. The service manual has some...

Re: Running an emulator in perfect 50 Hz on a FreeSync/G-Sync monitor

You don't need to have a FreeSync/G-Sync monitor to do this if your monitor has a HDMI input. The spec mandates 50Hz input refresh rate and for close to a decade now I've been sending native panel resolution, 50Hz, vsync'd output to my monitors which have HDMI. Just follow the same guide here to ad...

Re: Running an emulator in perfect 50 Hz on a FreeSync/G-Sync monitor

I wonder if there would be a way to run a real ST through a scan converter (like the Open Source Scan Converter (OSSC)) on a FreeSync monitor @50 Hz.

Running an emulator in perfect 50 Hz on a FreeSync/G-Sync monitor

I've just figured out how to run STeem in perfect 50 Hz on my FreeSync compatible monitor, which supports 49-60 Hz. Normally, Windows won't let me select anything but 60 Hz and 30 Hz but by using the following trick in my NVidia Control Panel it could set up a Windows resolution for 50 Hz. This resu...

So all Exxos needs to do is get two of them
But those digital channels, wow. That's the one thing I'm missing dearly on my DS1054Z.

Re: 4 channel scope recommendations ?

So the word on the street is the 1054 https://www.rigol-uk.co.uk/product/rigol-ds1054z-50mhz-digital-oscilloscope/ Yeah, I have this exact model. It's pretty awesome. I think it's a steal for its price. The fan is quite noisy though but that shouldn't be too hard to replace with something decent.

I mean, I could always run the headphone output through a cheap digital amp circuit and connect it to the speakers. Though I'd have to make sure it can drive a woofer and a tweeter separately.
