@Badwolf May the processor's sacrifice be worth it for the greater good (chorus of "the greater good").

Re: Flashy clock buyers interests

In which case, how about your older 16MHz accelerators (v1 or v1.5 etc.)? And I was trying to avoid that discussion as well  No, again, that's fine - if we can get the DSTB1 to work in the meantime (i.e. until the SEC booster is ready) then that will be a plus. For my personal applications, I ...

Re: Flashy clock buyers interests

exxos Ok, great! When I can get the DSTB1 built up, I can see how that goes (maybe disable the RAM once Flashy is installed). Another option is your TOS 2.06 decoder with the 16MHz 68k plugged on top ;) I've not added the CPU on top yet...but I guess Flashy is replacing the TOS decoding functionali...

Re: Flashy clock buyers interests

Thanks exxos . Yes, fully understand the reasons for the above. I have a few TF536 (v2 & v5) boards which can go into the other H4/H5 boards & keep them away from the other boards for now. So, If I use Flashy Clock along with my (5v) Trudie then they will be fine together - which is good. Th...

Re: Flashy clock buyers interests

exxos Still not sorted out the floppy issue on my H5...but still interested. As to with/without RAM, that basically depends on what it would work with (I mean if there was a TF536 installed, would they both work...or if it has the TOS 2.06 decoder/accelerator or even a DSTB1 etc.) I basically have ...

Re: DSTB1 - official firmware tests

Badwolf Sadly the only working boards with 64 pin DIP sockets are the remake boards. I do have 3 STEs but haven't got round to building the PLCC to DIP conversion board yet (and no 3D printer to make the fake CPU). I do have a reasonable number of working STF/M boards if all other avenues fail to t...

Re: HW free Overscan on the GEM desktop possible!

mrbombermillzy Very interesting...would love to see this get somewhere close to working for other TOS versions. I keep meaning to build an overscan board for some of my ST's but life seems to always find ways to defeat my planning! If it's just helping with some testing then I can run a prg & r...

Re: South coast retro computer event...any interest??

Like may of the others, love the idea...but not yet sure that I can make it (plus it's a long trek from the north east coast between Brid & "Scarbados") Will see what I can do & keep you posted. I was also very interested in the options for a venue around Coventry that Steve propos...

Re: DSTB1 - official firmware tests

Badwolf I should (finally!) have the final parts to build my board arriving later this week...but with great timing (not!) I'm away on business from late Friday evening for just over a week. I'm hoping to get a colleague to build it up in my absence (if I can give clear enough details on what...
