Re: General Stuff(tm)
I've just had an offer on my Dad's house. Looks like I'll be up and down to Cornwall in the next month or so finishing clearing the house. Glad to hear you're making progress, I hope it all goes smoothly for you. It's a horrible time dealing with stuff like this and it's such a relief when it's don...

Re: General Stuff(tm)
@stephen_usher you have my sympathies. I’ve been working on an Opus Challenger 3 in 1, got the ram working now but the drive spins up but doesn’t step whilst trying to format or read. That's worrying PhilC as I have one of those as well... recapping the two Beeb model Bs and ancillaries is way down...

Re: [Video] B-Roll: Investigating DSTB1 AltRAM issues on my STFM
Guess I'd better finish building my DSTB1 & program it up so that I can test it...(adds yet another task to the seemingly infinite list...)
No promises on timeline but there's a slim chance that I might manage it before @Badwolf builds another one from scratch...

Re: LarryL’s blog - creating an ATX version of the Phoenix H5
@LarryL Not sure if you have already looked at how exxos has done it on the H4/H5 boards but that works well in practice.
Only complication is your desire for two internal floppy connections...
I too am following with great interest.

Re: Greetings from Michigan USA
Welcome to the forum!
I used the Ataris for music a lot in the past, just need more time to enjoy them more at the moment!
I have a few versions of Cubase with MIDEX+ but also the C-Lab/emagic s/w & h/w.
Never been as keen on using other platforms for music, not sure why.

Re: --- > MANDATORY FIXES < ---
Just to rule out one possible issue, can you tell us which TOS version you are using?
IIRC TOS 2.x needs a floppy drive connected or it reports 2 bonds at boot anyway

Welcome to the forum!
Always good to hear about another Falcon owner joining (especially as there were comparatively so few sold compared to the other retro machines)
Definitely recap/upgrade the PSU sooner rather than later

Re: Stuff and Things.
Perish the thought...I've owned it from new (since the mid-80s) and once I refurb it 9and the Beebs) it will probably be the main display for them until I sort out some VGA-style solution or fix my Cub monitor...
