Re: 2600 Composite mod

Wow, Mouser wants a minimum of £12 shipment on 5 chips. That's mad! Thanks though, as now I have that part number, I'm getting more results :)

Re: Manky TT for sale on eBay.

The Atari TT is a 4-Layer Mainboard ... A needle do not work. Mill-Cut may be ? I was assuming from the photo that the holes were blocked with corrosion, hence the needle solution, as it is very controllable way to pick crud out of small holes and a method I've used before. Is that not the case or ...

Re: Manky TT for sale on eBay.

Is it possible to use a small needle to gently scrape away the oxidisation and open up the hole in the via?

Re: 2600 Composite mod

Hey Chris, I'm trying to push myself back towards getting some Atari projects done, and this is one of them. I've managed to source a couple of the MAX7453 chips and the other discrete components, but the FMS6146-D is something else, and I can't find it at any of my usual sources, can you advise on ...

My worst stick award has the the grey Speccy +2 bundled thing in its list of contenders. The grip is attached to the stick with hope and prayers and the leaf switch arrangement is utter garbage.
God, I'd forgotten about the leaf switch days!

I really liked the Competition Pro Joysticks. I tried refurbishing a couple of them bug quickly gave up, when I discovered them available as new:

Re: MegaST2 won't start up properly

How? Do you sell any switches? Let's say, I don't necessarily need the switch. Can I just remove it? You mentioned earlier that you weren't too great with electronic stuff and hardware, so don't do this if you aren't competent at soldering. Exxos has switches here: https://www.exxoshost.co.uk/atari...

I have a couple of those skinny "joy"sticks, they were bundled with a 2600 I was given (no games, boo). Never actually used them as they feel bad enough in the hand to start with!
Probably the worst stick I ever used TBH, and I've used a lot over the years.

Re: Joystick cloning

I think the only switches I remember seeing, on the metal dome ones like in the classic 2600 joystick.. And the microswitches which I think were in the stigma ray joystick, where I think there was a spring on top which the joysticks have pressed down.. What I remember there was always prone to brea...
