CA4003290 - STE

Floppy controller is WDC1772 (Ajax would have been nice), DMA is 001A. That being said, I don't believe the bad DMA myth, I just believe the ST...

Re: Help resolving STE Booster instability?

Nice idea for the PLCC socket idea, it looks really good, but the extra connections, plus the possiblility of iffy connections between the plug and socket could be part of the instability, especially since the on board socket is quite old and the connectors could have retracted sightly over the year...

Re: STE Booster instable

I did have some strange memory issues, but luckily I had a big bag o' ram from back in the old days, and found some suitable 8 chip SIMMs that worked fine. In terms of the 32Mhz wire, I came pretty much direct from U405, across the top right of the SIMM sockets (You should be able to see in the pict...

Already a Linux system my friend, and we're at the stage of looking at network traces. If I suggested that I'd probably be laughed at :D

Re: excel calc help

If I can get a chance, I will have a crack for you.

I am just with a new customer this week, with very high pressure to come up with a fix, so it may not be until the weekend.
