Re: BAD ROM CRC IN CHIP E

Hopefully this will help sort out the jumpers for you: AtariSTE.png If you're handy with a soldering iron, I'd suggest removal of the zero ohm links and replacement with header pins and jumpers. EDIT: Though what seems weird, is that it works in another machine, have you considered cleaning up the c...

Re: V2.5 BOOSTER CURRENT PROTOTYPE STATUS (SEC BOOSTER)

It would make sense that the bus and maybe other components may not be happy when pushing way beyond the original 8Mhz speed.

I have to take my hat off to you that you've got so far with this.

:bravo:

Re: V2.5 BOOSTER CURRENT PROTOTYPE STATUS (SEC BOOSTER)

It is on the "to do list" but I am having issues with realtime clock switching on this board. So even switching speeds with the power on isn't going to be possible for a while. I will investigate it eventually, but I want to get on with something else like the fast-ram and flash-rom. I can understa...

Re: V2.5 BOOSTER CURRENT PROTOTYPE STATUS (SEC BOOSTER)

You know, you could skip 55Mhz and go straight for 60...... From tests before it maxed out at 58MHz. There doesn't seem to be any oscs around in that range though :( Next jump seems to be 64. 64 it is then ;) I guess there will be a logical point at which the CPUs can't be overclocked anymore. Woul...

Re: SIMM Sockets

It'd be good if you could upload to the motherboard section, don't forget they can be full size there for detail.

Re: SIMM Sockets

Chances are that the sockets are keyed and will only fit one way, but on my STEs the SIMMs insert pointing back and rock forward to lock in place.

If in doubt there are some decent pictures of STE mainboards to be found here: viewforum.php?f=51

Re: Free PCBs

Hi Sety, I'm interested, but in the UK. What are we looking at for postage to here, or is the $10 AUS an overall figure?

Thanks.

Re: Internal Gotek/FlashFloppy and external disk drive

Don't forget if you're using FlashFloppy firmware (And I'd suggest it is well worth doing so) there is a config file called FF.CFG that can be placed in the root of your USB stick that can override default FlashFloppy values, and write them to the firmware, just by powering on the Gotek with the fil...
