Re: JezC - the second (and laST) H5C1 build
Yes, jumpers are set to match the same as on my other H5C1...which boots to desktop OK but has the bombs on accessing the floppy. It's got the modified TOS 1.04 with IDE boot support (that also reports any Floppy Drives detected) but it stays with just a white screen... I'll check for any bus activi...

Re: JezC - the second (and laST) H5C1 build
I'll see what I have to hand - that would be fine for trouble-shooting/ruling it in or out I guess...
Thanks for the suggestion!

Re: JezC - the second (and laST) H5C1 build
I've tried it with and without the jumper fitted with no difference (but I'll double-check the soldering tomorrow - just in case!) I've not fitted the resistor yet so I'll see if I have anything suitable at home...if not, that will have to wait until Monday when I'm in the office & can raid the ...

Re: JezC - the second (and laST) H5C1 build
Well, all chips plugged in & it powers up....to a solid white screen, darn. :( I'll go through the fault-finding steps (probably tomorrow) as best I can - no 'scope at home at the moment, so it might have to just be the Saleae logic analyser for now. I'm suspecting it could be a ROM fault but I'...

Re: Raven. A homemade Atari-like computer
Looks incredible @agranlund!
I'd be on a ferry over to see it in person if I had an 060 to go in it...and maybe an Atari cartridge port connector (just in case any of the MIDI sequencers works with an 060 processor)...

Re: JezC - the second (and laST) H5C1 build
Keyboard keying pin removed, various jumpers fitted so next will be fitting the chips from H5C1 #1 and a test to see if she boots!

JezC - the second (and laST) H5C1 build
So, I seem to have acquired a second H5C1 board (shortly before the rest of the stock disappeared) ;) Having had a few spare minutes at lunch time, I've stared the build... Progress so far: I've fitted ROM jumper SIMM socket VGA connector read Reset switch Flashy Clock link (for now there's no Flash...

Re: Hiya from Leeds, UK
:swave: Welcome to the forum! I think that a few of the forum members have used replacement power supplies (different Meanwell versions) which are a lot lighter (and run much cooler) than the original PSU. Your Gotek should work fine (might need Flash Floppy putting on it to make it easier to naviga...
