Re: C070115 REV.2B (520ST 08/1985)

No vias for filters. Not sure I've seen that on any other ST motherboard revision before. (Has there been a Shifter can on that at all? Seems to have the mounts but cleanly removed if so) Chip revisions seems to be the same as on my REV.B - but this is surely an earlier revision since they added loa...

Early 520ST keyboards different?

I have two 520STs. One from 1985, one from 1987. The keyboard on the one from 1985 is very heavy, the backside of it is all metal (see photo) and the keys don't have the rubbery-soft feeling of all other ST keyboards. It feels much more like the Mega ST/Mega STE/TT ones. After market mod? I can't sa...

Re: Web shop postage cost thoughts

Currently sending custom packages cheaper, I had to raise a custom payment, manually take stock off my database, then remember to send the info to my girlfriend.. It turns into a bit of a epic which people don't realise. My store is totally automated , in have pretty much zero involvement with it a...

Re: 3D models of ST parts

Has anyone looked at printing and I know its a large part the MegaSTE / TT HDD drive lid. One of my main reasons for wanting this part is to have slots in the front of it for the SD cards (internal Gigafile / UltraSatan) and USB ports (Lightning VME USB) and not damage the original. It's 2cm longer...

Re: DMA port "update" ideas..

And if so would this not be a good addition to the original STFM as well? This is what I've done for internal floppy on the 520ST(M) - thanks to it having a nice row of holes for filters (or zero-ohm links) that can be used. Not all motherboard revisions have that. floppy_schematic.png (I've had th...

Re: Mongrel edition motherboard thoughts

Troed is building his, but he cannot seem to sit still at the moment, so progress is slow there.. I'm sitting very still at this very moment! 11300 feet up, on my way between continents ;) Next week I should be able to fit in some good progress though. Board is finished, just need to debug why it's...
