Ya know I've been doing this for 30 years and I've never seen an eprom get the thumbs up after programing and not work in the target hardware. Maybe an issue in the socket? In single 512byte transfers even PC can't do more than 150K/sec. But larger writes can be DMA or multiworld transfers which I don't think ST supports. PC will read timings from the CF card so it does proper timings. Most ST interfaces "hard hack" the timings and hope for the best. Read speeds are of...

We haven't done any benchmarks because we need to build a proper prototype first. Transfer rate is based on CF card more than interface anyway.

I had a thought that I started using Atmel GAL's, so for the hell of it I put back a lattice GAL.. And now the problematic integrated blitter board now seems stable :roll: And yet, the Atmel GAL works fine on the external blitter boards :roll: Even though speed of the GAL has never made any differen...

As Ijor pointed out with the slow SND DTACK issues on the STFM, he says this issue was fixed on the STE. I think I should say that I am not 100% sure about that. All I know is I can see the modification and the fix at the STE MCU combo internal schematics (the schematics that Christian recovered). ...

Low bytes are first. So it goes LO HI LO HI. Nothing has been swapped out with them.
