Re: V2.5 BOOSTER CURRENT PROTOTYPE STATUS (SEC BOOSTER)

Hey, I'm back to business! As I understand, you have that format error with accelerated CPU and ROM, right? Hey! Yes, but we both made some progress... We did a patch to the code in TF's booster and he is running now.. So he doesn't get the error... I found about a hour ago I have a problem with my...

Re: V2.5 BOOSTER CURRENT PROTOTYPE STATUS (SEC BOOSTER)

Got side tracked here fixing the SEC footprint viewtopic.php?f=35&t=1534&p=16701

Now the job of tidying up my board again... Then will see how I can route RW,UDS,LDS via my PLD...

As a compromise you could put 2 sets of pads on there for the 27C400 and 27C4096

I'm using the SMT PLCC sockets for my dualtos boards, they seem ok so far..

I use a ZIF programmer socket, so they won't get squashed into a socket when programming.

Re: Which tos for the TF530 on a stf?

PLCC package ;)

Shouldn't it have 2 DIP sockets, one to plug into the ST and one to plug the TF into ?

Re: V2.5 BOOSTER CURRENT PROTOTYPE STATUS (SEC BOOSTER)

As the SEC is wired for 2 wire bus master management there are a few things that differs but the important part is to let the GLUE know a cycle is in progress Yep works fine in 8MHz... OK so I don't do anything with LDS, UDS, but Also I just saw RW in your code... Why do I just have a feeling that ...

That is really weird.
May be I should make a proper one.
I've got the SEC CPU already in a lib, just the pcb footprint is wrong.

EDIT:

This one seems fine.. so will have to edit the 68K lib

Re: Eagle libs - why you can't trust them

If you copied it from another lib in Eagle, make sure you took the TQFP64-10x10 one. I used the one in the MC68K lib ...TQFP64 EDIT: The 10x10 one is actually to small... j.jpg EDIT2: Actually all the TQFP64 look like the exact same footprint, like its been copied/paste 100 times over various libs....

Eagle libs - why you can't trust them

TQFP64 package.. Pads are not aligned correctly to device.. Just look at the overhang on the IC to the print out of the bads on the might hand side.

Its almost impossible to get the IC to "fit" that device as the whole package seems like 10% to small
