Re: TF1230 Beta Interest (Open Source)

Ok, IDE on previous FW is broken, none of my CFs boots,
however Floppy Drive works, can boot from it to WB, once it is booted works fine, correct amount of memory was detected on both cards (64 & 128MB)

EDIT:
Will test BETA1 FW soon

Re: TF1230 Beta Interest (Open Source)

Hmm,
I'm aware of the MMU Lockups,
no MMULibs are installed on this one,
It just freezes after loading to WB

Noticed that loading to WB from IDE is blazing fast, almost instantly

Re: TF1230 Beta Interest (Open Source)

After flashing new FW both cards came to life on 1D4 board, KS Screen shows up, but hangs on IDE boot, changed blue Chinese CF card to SanDisk, and it booted to WB, however, it is very unstable, hangs all the time.. Started RAM Test from Amiga Test Kit - well, it crashes... 1631307415291250789822617...

Re: TF1230 Beta Interest (Open Source)

Initial hypothesis is that the Rev2B vs Rev 1D4 (et al) do autovectors differently. Not sure *HOW* this happens but I can see that interrupts are processed by an AVEC on the Rev2B and VIA DSACK on the 1D4. Since the autovector is pulled out of ROM with DSACK processing this explains why ROM speed m...

You can sweat Your cpld's off and keep them, then solder new cpld's on and test any fw you like...

Yeah, I know...was just a joke.. :P
btw, there is a possibility to implement auto detect code for RAM, this would make life much easier, since only one FW would be needed no matter what amount of ram is installed :D

Re: TF1230 Beta Interest (Open Source)

Hmm... that are great news!
But may I ask why 66MB are shown? Shouldn't it be 128MB? 🤪🤔
