Re: Life, the universe & everything...Atari (well, mostly)
I have some 44 pin IDE to CF card adapters that work in my H4/H4 but not in my Falcon. I think there are different version adapters around.

Re: kodak80 blog
Hi @kodak80 I let some of your ISA PCB v1.3 be made in China for my ATX Board. I am struggling a bit with sourcing the SMD battery holder for the RTC Do you evtl have a source or a vendor/ part number for a suitable component? All I could find locally here in Germany are much wider than the 20mm on...

Re: kodak80 blog
Hi, The original PinOut is absolutely Ok for the 4N33, but the chip itself seems to be not suitable - too slow. I have been successful with a CNY17F (available via e.g. eBay) using the original pinout At least using a Diag Card and a MIDI Loopback cable this gives me a „pass“ (I do not own any MIDI...

Re: kodak80 blog
Yes, 8 bit ISA slot is what is in the EtherNEC adapter. I have built up 3 x 8 bit network cards from this one: https://github.com/skiselev/isa8_eth I need to find a way to program the 93C46 - 1 Kbit EEPROM as the network cards do not seem to work without the chip being programmed. A program is prov...

Re: kodak80 blog
Okay, my MIDI Opto fix adapter boards arrived today that swap pins 4 and 5 on the opto-isolator IC on the mATX ST board. If anything, the fix adapter makes things worse as MidiMaze cannot communicate at all over the MIDI cables with the fix in place. Clearly there is something else wrong with the MI...

Version 1.2 is now tested and RTC, cartridge port and internal 40 pin header work. EtherNEC is now also tested and works when connected to the cartridge adapter internal header. Re: kodak80 blog
I tested the v1.1 of my ISA cart adapter yesterday and it works which is great considering I had to move from Eagle to KiCad for v1.1 due to the size of the PCB. It was too big when I moved the cartridge port outside the ATX casing and Eagle (free version) would not allow the size board needed. I ha...

Re: kodak80 blog
As shared on other forums. My ISA Cartridge adapter works fine with bodge wires from underneath the GLUE IC (pins 17 & 18) for ROM3 & ROM4. Looks good! What address lines are exposed on the ISA slot? No chance of doing the ROM3/4 decode yourself? Cheers, BW The required address lines for th...
