Re: dev-docs mirror & php issues

My mirror was great help to many as the original site kept going offline. Sure it has a new host now but why does this mean my copy should be done away with as that is what you are suggesting. Plus as I already said, I link to a lot of files on my mirror and removing the site will create more work. ...

Wouldn't 'wget -m' be a useful tool instead of PHP (*ick*)?
Maybe... but I still need some method to check the files on the main site vs my mirror to get the "file list" to download... reminds me I need to check the cron job is working :)

Re: Midex+ Schematics and modification

oh wow! I got asked to reverse engineer that a few times, I basically said no as would take a lot of time, and GAL's unlikely to be readable by programmer..

How did you come across all that info ??

Re: Board "printer"?

I have seen that printer a fair bit in the past on websites etc. Just seems like a glorified "wire wrap" kind of tool to me. For my boards, I use dedicated gnd and 5v layers, so I need a "slab" of copper, such things are not going to be really viable with that printer. Plus points mentioned above ab...

Re: Daniel/New Beat

kickstarter is the same problem as "pre-orders" it commits into doing something. something which basically hasn't being designed yet and may never get produced. I doubt people would put money into a project where they are likely going to see nothing in return.. I would rather people buy something an...

Re: Daniel/New Beat

:welcomewave: With a kickstarter project I'd suddenly have a deadline and everything that comes with that. Nah, keeping it as a hobby gives you freedom and you can work on things because you're motivated, not because you have to. Exactly! Its why I dont take "pre-orders" anymore. Obligation to compl...

Re: dev-docs mirror & php issues

Possible last news update on this. . Site is currently up to date.. and shouldn't be "behind" for more than a few days at worst. All "sections" will output the whole file list (can't fix as I don't have access to the original site as mentioned previously!) The search box now works.. I wrote a very q...

Re: dev-docs mirror & php issues

Reply from lonny.. You are on your own if you wish to keep mirroring. I don't feel it's necessary. It was when the site kept going offline constantly for a long time. Not only does it give a backup copy of the site, it stopped breaking my pages. I re-linked the majority of links to the files hosted ...
