Re: ST-IDE-ROM Dev Board v1 - BETA Testers

Will this board fit into STf "silly" type board (with CPU over mouse/joystick ports)?

Re: Filament recommendations

Due to surface structure of original case, colors look different on it than on shiny sample. I was painting with glossy paint and it wasn't too shiny, but I thing a better choice would be semi-gloss/satin, especially for painting on 3D printouts. When painting on plastic you have to use plastic prim...

Re: Filament recommendations

I think this may be somehow helpful:

I was painting with RAL7044 and it is at least one tone too light.

Re: Which 1040 STF is this?

Later models had same floppy like STes, so it could came out from the factory in this shape (well, not shape, but configuration). So it is the late US (120VAC/60Hz !!!) version.

Re: How do I Hook Up an External MPF920 as Drive B

There is NO controller inside SF314, only some versions of single sided SF354 had some controller card inside. Here you have only voltage filtering circuit and a pass-through board.

...and yes, this is the correct board for SF314. And this is the earliest version of SF314.

Re: 16BIT ROM CART THOUGHTS

SysInfo and GemBench work great on my diagnostic cart, thanks! I have not analyzed details of your 16-bit ROM cart, but if you are making a proper use of ROM3/4 lines you may use both 64kB and 128kB ROMs. Yet over-complicated jumper settings tell me that you are switching between 64/128kB cart modes...

Re: 16BIT ROM CART THOUGHTS

Some time ago I was asking about possibility of preparing ROM versions of YAART and SysInfo, but with no response. I only know, that it is impossible to just put an PRG file on a ROM.

Re: Just got a new SH204 minus the hard drive

SH204 has an Adaptec ST-506/412 compatible HDD controller inside, and can be used only with such disks. It can be either 5,25" or 3,5" and MFM or RLL compatible. SCSI is something completely different. *** Sorry, I was wrong, SH204 was using a SCSI host adapter (ACSI - SCSI "converter...
