Not much positive progress the last day or so, mainly due to lack of time.

I've removed the WD1772 and DMA socket nd replaced them, the contacts on the sockets did not make good contact with the chips. This has mainly been due to the pins of the original DMA being dirty with old solder, so that when a new one was put in it would scope out whilst I put pressure on the pins but then fail when I removed them.

It still has the verify format error, which I'm looking into much closer. Tough one to diagnose all things considered.

And he's only got an bl**dy fixed it!

For reference for others in a similar situation, I swapped the GLUE out again with another spare that I had and then cleaned the MFP and its now booting happily and running Gembench as we speak.

@alienkidmj12 I'll PM you about getting this back to you and about a couple of things I think we need to do before I send it back.

And here's the obligatory Gembench pic, I'll leave @alienkidmj12 to post his own game pic once he gets it back.

the screen does turn on, but no icons yet under std tos. tos 2.06 throws the usual 4 bombs.

still trying to locate my spare gotek pcb but i did manage to 3d print the bracket so far

needed 3 replacement ic's, i guess most of my donor parts didn't work - video shifter and blitter ok i think, the board i took em from was in bad condition.

i think that the spare ram card wouldn't fire up, can send it back if you still want it, i'm easy.

appreciated everyone's help with this, its been a bit of a trek.

next it to get gotek working and cf card formatted so it can boot with the ide controller.

ill be getting the next rev board also, hopefully it'll get easy, at least i now have working chips i can remove and reinsert.
