It took some time to be shipped, I knew that, but I had to ask for an update at one point, just to be sure. I got an answer with an ETA, I felt better, and it was shipped on schedule.

Some close-ups :

Checking against the legacy floppy drive ("Chinon"), I will have to twist the cable. I also had to flatten the twisting to have room under the case.

Time to close, look how the front of the goex integrates nicely with the floppy drive opening (well, that is the very reason why I bought one instead of a Gotek).

I have tested switching between some images prepared beforehand on a fresh SD card.

An empty disk to start.

Edit : I just realized that I did not test writing, but my main use case is playing, not production. I will try to test another time, now my STE is shelved again, until next time.

Strange that Centuriontech didn't swap the pinout for the floppy since the product is for an ST. Or is it just the 3D printed part that is for ST and the same board is used for other systems?

Looks like he heard you . . .

New in rev.2022:

dual color tone mount with front fascia and jogdial controller wheel color closer to ST chassis color (RAL7038)
rigidized mount base
FDD data connector is now oriented same way as on original ST floppy. This eliminates a need for FDD data cable extender, previously needed for some ST models/revisions.
power cable connector has been moved to other side of board for the same reason
