Do I need to design a funnel and print one out for you :p. Though it would probably end up with a 68000 on the side doing something..-
It could keep a count of all the refills and amount

Thing with a funnel is, its not like the opening is very deep, so would have to like cut a bit off the funnel bit like a cut across it so it falls in.
Needs more looking into :)

Gonna have to step my game then...

What with the recession and everything its going to be hard going, i'm trying to find the best refillable/forgiving colour laser printer since ours is having some weird probs oddly on 1 side of the paper and seemingly on red, im sure it needs a new fuser does it every 1 in 3 prints you can see the print error move along the paper from top to middle to bottom and then the next print is perfect then it starts again at top

So far all hands are pointing at Brother printers, some have have filling plugs on the cart and work very mechanical to reset :)

As we head closer to 10,000 prints on this cart, its starting to leave black smears down the 1 edge after a long print run that has some logos/images on the paper, text is still fine. The smear tends to fade away after printing some normal text only sheets, prob wants a clean

I guess we will never know how many prints this cart did, since it was a refilled compatible to start with and we know that the orig. HP fill can last about 3000 to 3500 prints, can we just add that number onto whatever we get out of it?

Its going away again in this pic :D

Our colour laser, suffered a serious paper jam, somehow a entire sheet of A4 managed to wrap itself multiple times around the drum, meaning we get to take it to bits, that's the 2nd time that happened in 12 months, luckily it was saved and 20 mins later we was off again :D
This seems a common fault with these printers there's loads on eBay with the same issue and people just chuck them out.
Its a Dell branded Xerox Phaser 6xxx something if I remember.

Until the next day when it suddenly decided to stop picking up paper, due to the roller being stuck in the up position it seemed.

We still cant find a worthy replacement

End experiment : 12000 odd pages, cartridge physically failed, possible because of me

Today the printer started to put lines all over everything, upon investigating it was found there was so much toner in the waste compartment it was spilling out everywhere, attempts to clean it up were made, there was a broken plastic spring clip thing that moves the cart door up and down it seems to have broken, and was puking toner all over the inside of the printer aswel, anyhow here's some pics :

There has been a incident... so now we know what that clip was holding together that started all this off, I turned the toner cart around and boom that

A refill hole hidden under a screwed on cover deep in the cart, some videos I saw used this to refill the cart instead of melting a hold in the side, which I think is better than taking the whole cart to bits else you might end up with a situation like in the previous pic

Result : Cart total loss, move onto version 2
