Several very interesting projects up there..

I see no postings.. no talk, but the site is still up?

Did these ever become produced products??

By reading some of that site, it seems some PCBs were made way back in 2007, but no more information?
Very interesting stuff though, very strange no updates after all that hard work too :(

Found this on a forum, if you don't want to read all the ins and outs, here is a response to a message from one of the guys involved
Quote
"'Sorry for the late reply. The projects are not dead, but I currently have little time and space for it, but possibly in 2010. My new layout for the TTRamIDE is almost done (there is only a small problem with the size so that the case can not close yet ). I guess nobody needs MSTIDEM. STDMAIDE currently supports only a virtual ethernet harddisk that can host a linux machine, but no real ethernet for ftp or ;)anything .... (I've probably misinterpreted that) MSTEIDEM has stability issues because of the CPU adapter and its aggressive logics timing by a higher to reach speed.'"

So long and short.. it was a project that looked promising at the start.. but then faded when more work needed to be put in.

Damm I want to get my MegaSTE over 4mb.. either with ST ram or Fast ram.. 8-bits are SOOO easy.. cant figure out why this seems to be so difficult.

I have read different things about ST memory some say it cant see anymore than 4mb while others say 14mb although according to wiki the 68000 can address upto 16mb and 68020 4gb

68000 can address 16mb of space.
The ST MMU can only address up to 4mb of ram.
14mb limit is because ROM uses space in the memory map among io space etc.

I think I'm starting to grasp it Exxos  but is the MMU limited to 4mb overall or could it use that thing called bank switching? I have heard it mentioned on the Spectrum.

I did talk about it some years ago, but hardware and software wise its just easier to use alt-ram and add 8mb there.

However the suska MMU core can handle 14mb , its why I want to use it to replace the MMU and also clock it at higher speeds.. Its all part of the remake project..
