How not to use a heat gun.. (graphic images, almost!)

Never happened before..

I think the "backlash" heat from the gun while de-soldering RAM chips on several motherboards actually "cooked" my eyeball Managed to burst a blood vessel it seems.. result wasn't pretty.

My eye is fine now (2 days later). Though I caution anyone using a heat gun to use protective goggles. Obviously my own dumbness here, but easy to overlook even the simple things.

Yes, was a bit of a strange one. All the years I have been soldering and using heat guns and never had this problem before. Then again is probably the first time I have removed almost 100 ICs in one go

My eyes just a tiny bit achy and sore but otherwise it's okay now thankfully
