Dear Exxos-Team,
Dear all retro-machine stalwarts,
it's Raik from Berlin getting started today here on this forum. First of all as a Berliner I very much apologize for my poor english. At least I'll try to write correct words having a seperate browser-tab with a translator opened but maybe the grammar will be weird.
Similar to many others I found this site when looking for more information on problems I have with lately purchased computers.
Redarding my retro-vita I can tell the I started with an Commodore 64 in 1993 which I have already today and this thing is working great still. Back in the days my cousins had a Amiga 2000 and my best schoolfriend had a Atari 1040 STe. In summary I have memories of playing games and making music with all three of these computers and my plan is alike others to show them to my son one day.
I was never involved in modding these machines and more kind of a simple user pushing & pulling floppy disks but as a hobby lastly I got a little bit into that which produced some questions I hope I can find someone to talk about here.
Besides my C64 I acquired one Atari 1040 STe and one Amiga 500 since December 2020 and started to try things out, more on that in the designated topic's category.
so far
Raik

Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.
