Me, myself and I :-)

I actually don't like this introducing of self thing. Best introducing should be work of people. But, because of some really bad things happened and still happening at AF, I will write now little more personal introducing.

I'm old dog. Bought Sinclair Spectrum in 1983 and started to code, mostly in ASM. About 18 months later I won 6-th place in Yugoslav programmer competition, with SW called MC Tracer. And funny thing is: now I spend lot of time with Steem Debugger, what is actually same thing - tracer :D
It was my first serious SW, and it could be better, more complete, but that was what I was able then. I worked those years a lot as repairman - fixed mostly Commodore 64, Spectrum, some number of Atari STs. Did expansions and like.
In 1991 I designed IDE interface for Atari ST, based on schematic of AT bus PC card in some PC HW book. I realized how easy is to make such adapter, and that it is cheap. Used it with diverse hard disks of that time. Little later made own driver SW for it - still only CHS mode.
Much harder task was IDE adapter for Spectrum, because it is 8-bit computer.
You can see schematics of all it at http://8bitchip.info .
Then Internet era came. I put those things online, of course it looked different than now, was on other host. Some say that my IDE IF was first ever of that kind, so for some retro on Internet - year was about 1997.
And now, we are in era of Flash cards. Retro computing is very popular overall. There are other platforms, with much more people involved and with more projects, HW and SW. I was active some time with Sinclair Spectrum. But in latest 10 years only with Atari ST and followers. Things are that with Atari ST everything (OK, except IDE interface  ) is about 10x harder.
For the end some YT videos:

Ahh - it seems YT deleted my Formula 1 overscan overtake video - probably F1 copyright nonsense.
But you can see it here, and read about how it is achieved:

So much here about myself. There is much more visible on my site, in forum discussions - of course only for those who listen, look little deeper in things, and see not only surface. I'm for straight talk, as my ancestors were in this part of Europe. Most important is to be honor man, retro things, money, everything is after that.
There is 2 kind of people: one thinking about moving to Mars after here becomes too bad, the others thinking about how to keep this planet habitable.

I think you do a lot a great work, its a shame people constant flame you for supporting the community. Of course you are free to post here, if arguments start then action will be taken.

I want people here to be free to be active and create new things. This is why I setup this forum, retro computing should be fun, and I want to get back to that :)
