Hello from Derby, UK. Amiga User.

Post by uniquefreak »

Hi all,

43 Year old Amiga user, based in Derby, UK here. My first Amiga was the A600 and I had to get the best from it as a kid when my friends with 500s were moving to the 1200. I loved it then and love it now.

Recently got my first Big Box in the form of an A2000 and loving it.

Looking forward to chatting with everyone and apologies in advance for any daft questions!

Thanks, Ady.

Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Snap, my Dad sent me a few photos the other day of me and my siblings on C64's & Amiga's. Here's one of me on my A600. I vaguely remember getting that MegaDrive joystick to work properly as my first successful use of a soldering iron :lol:

Looking back I was spoiled, a proper monitor and a colour printer, albeit only 9pin!

If by any chance you recently acquired an A2000 from the Southampton area, it may well be my old one. I used it extensively with a TF536 and some other bits and pieces.
