Gunstick/ULM from Luxembourg

Post by Gunstick »

Hi

I'm Gunstick from Unlimited Matricks demo crew.

so what brings me here? My never started projects like having an ST on the Internet accepting SNDH files and sending back the sampled mp3 output. There is actually need from musicians who produce on emulators and don't have real hardware.
Other project is YM tune visualization. Combination of waveforms https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qP93XGuUcZo with register dumps https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUHh_Ody5Mo on a single video.
And also continue the research of Troed/SYNC to create the definitive new way of doing fullscreens cross platform.
etc..
So much to do, I have a regular job, so time is not really existing for such crazy projects

Welcome :)

Some cool videos there. How was the waveforms produced ? hacked direct from the YM chip to some software ? I half recall someone was asking how to do that some months ago somewhere.

Yeah Troed is awesome with manipulating those pixels! But yeah, time is always short, I'm spending about 14 hours each day trying to keep up with all my Atari projects, and I do actually have to work sometimes as well ;) . Not easy by far.

Okay, THAT is a cool idea... and without a doubt I believe, that there is demand. Still some ways for 30 years old hardware to be productive...

The waveforms video is done by Ben (author of sc68).
The dumps are made by me using also sc68. So no real hardware in this context.

The service to transform SNDH to mp3 will maybe also include a diff-service trying to show differences between real hardware and emulator. But that will have timing issues as the ST is maybe not at an 100% perfect clock. And there are different crystals in the STs ... I will calibrate with mine, and hope it works.
