I've just updated the blog with an idea for how I'm going to install my gotek in the case. Not sure if it's been done on an ST before...

Will post how it goes both in the blog and on here when I have the parts.

By the way, how do I embed images in a post on here?

You just click the Attachments tab and upload your images, then use "place inline" wherever you want them in your post.

Thanks I'm not a fan of modifying the cases of old computers, so it seemed to be a good compromise!

I mentioned that I'm not a fan of modifying the original machine case and so I just spent far too much time on reversing a mod made by a previous owner.
They cut out the floppy drive opening to accommodate a non ST drive:

I thought I could live with it, but finally realised I couldn't, so I got an original floppy drive faceplate and then modified the case to look original again. I'm quite pleased with the result:
