Hows the Mega look now?
I have an led uv lamp I am going to try for a few days on the keys and see what happens. The case itself was just dirty.

I forget that the weather in England is like the weather in San Francisco.
A quote attributed to Mark Twain, " The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco!"

Nice... Now to get a nice trapdoor accelerator for it?PhilC wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2019 9:07 pm Don't tell the missus but I can finally cross another computer off the wanted list.
This turned up in the post today.

Of course it looked a whole lot worse when it arrived. It resembled something taken from a dumpster. Just the F3 key to find and then of course the mandatory accelerator, network adaptor, etc. The keys need a good retrobrite which I've never tried before.
Left on the list to find now is an Atari TT, an Enterprise, Sinclair QL and a Memotech MTX512.
As for the other machines... Well, I have all those except for the Enterprise, and all from when they were originally on sale.
(OK, my Memotech was technically an MTX500 but hey.)
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

As an UV source for bad weather I can recommend the "Osram Ultra-Vitalux 300W".
https://www.osram.com/ecat/ULTRA-VITALU ... ZMP_60829/
This thing is extremely strong and produces enough warmth to speed up the process, depending on the distance.
But you should never get your hands under it when it is turned on, you will get a sunburn almost immediately.

I've hot myself an LED uv strip, so will report back on that at some point. Hopefully no skin cancer involved.

Hoping there's not going to be an earthquake this side of Christmas.

Both valid risks, especially the unattended pets one, these two pups of ours have springs for feet.

Not had much chance to work on my H4 board lately due to work and family commitments but hopefully I will get a bit more time over the next couple of weeks.
In other news, I got sent a logic analyser by @Icky which I found incredibly useful but a bit limiting with only 8 channels *not being ungrateful at all thanks Icky ). So this turned up today.
80 channel, 2ghz etc etc, bit over the top yes and far from portable as its name states but I'm looking forward to working out how to use it.
Gotta do something with this fan though, sounds like a jet engine.
