Just because a lot of people agree on something, doesn't make it a fact. ~exxos ~
People should find solutions to problems, not find problems with solutions.

Re: Icky Projects
Not Atari but house rewiring. I just took a look at the front door bell, oh boy. It still works too.

I am in a little quandary. My mind is battling with don't touch it and go on sort it out. This is probably a bit of a debate as the house is listed but this looks too dangerous to leave in situ. Am currently trying to figure out the date of this stuff. It's got to be <1970s

Re: Icky Projects
I'm thinking some of it may be 60s maybe even older, but I'd be in a quandary too thinking about what to do with it.Icky wrote: ↑Sat Jan 08, 2022 9:06 pmI am in a little quandary. Re: Icky Projects
Too true @Tomswork.
My current thinking is to tidy up the wires and the terminal blocks only preserving everything and only change the modern switch to a fused one as I don’t think that line is fused other than the RCD at the consumer unit.rubber_jonnie wrote: ↑Sat Jan 08, 2022 10:48 pm I'm thinking some of it may be 60s maybe even older, but I'd be in a quandary too thinking about what to do with it.

Looks 1940s/50s to me.Icky wrote: ↑Sat Jan 08, 2022 9:06 pmI am in a little quandary. My mind is battling with don't touch it and go on sort it out. What level of listing does the building have? If it's Grade I then you have to get permission to do almost anything.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

It’s Grade II. I could not cope with a Grade I.stephen_usher wrote: ↑Sat Jan 08, 2022 11:32 pm Looks 1940s/50s to me.
