First one built and tested :) these will be heading to my store in about a weeks time...

I was going to solder the socket on top, but in terms of people who want to use this on a original machine, the CPU is better been soldered without a socket because of height restrictions.

For those who want to use a socket, simply just solder it on, and in theory accelerators like terrible fires should plug in on top and work fine.

Time to end the day with a cup of hot choc in my favorite mug :)

Fun fact : I once text my girlfriend saying "I just got in bed with a hot chic" , She text back "You better not be in bed with a hot chic"... took me a few mins to work out what she was on about.. gotta love that spell check... one wrong letter can get you into so much trouble

ROFL - I e-mailed one of our software suppliers about a family trip to the beach with our Malamute & was relaying about us all paddling about in the shallows in our wellies...but actually mis-typed it so the first 'e' was actually an 'i'...apparently the resulting snort of laughter at the receiving end caused a massive spray of tea across the computer screen & keyboard & gave her a humorous mental image for the rest of the day!

Obviously an english case of choc-o-lait versus choc-o-lit (french).

Been busy all day finishing STE boosters. They seem to be taking a long time to do  I've done 7 today, can't remember how many boards, but I think there must be about 20 more to do yet. So its going to keep me busy for a couple more days yet.

I want to get flashy software finished next week.. Icky has the updated PCBs, but we both lacking in time to make a start on those. But IIRC it shouldn't need any firmware tweaks or anything major.

I've still got the floppy kits and compact RTCs to sort out yet as well from months ago... And PSUs gone out of stock again  its all grinding to a halt as I can't get stuff made because of the virus :( but I will do what I can over the next few months.

I also want to tidy up my workshop and start scrapping boards for spares. I need to get organised as I just can't find anything again  I've got that many projects and kits on the go that its caused huge piles of parts all over the place where I have no idea what stuff is for what anymore. So I want to make some room and get some space back. I need to get my bench tidy to work at as mostly I'm just bent over on the floor soldering stuff up and my poor back can't take it anymore.. Plus my workbench ends up being a old glass chopping board on top of a small bin.. I just can't carry on like that anymore. Really need to tidy up
